Earth Action North Devon are joining us for a climate conversation that connects.
You will have the opportunity to reflect and learn how to have meaningful conversations about climate change with your community.
We know that conversations bridge divides, reduce polarisation and help us remember the values we share. That’s why they’re essential if we want to build support for climate action.
Whether you’re worried about sounding too preachy or feel you’re not ‘expert’ enough, The EAND team will equip you with the skills to engage in positive, effective conversations and how to avoid conversational pitfalls. You will get to practice active listening and rapport building and develop a short climate story.
This is a 3-hour long, informal training session, suitable for those who actively work within communities, or just want to feel more confident talking about climate change with family, friends, and colleagues.
This training framework is based on the 'Lets talk climate' programme, developed by Larger us. Light refreshments will be provided.
Tickets are £3 for library members and £5 for non-members. We want this event to be accessible to everyone, so a limited number of free tickets are available for anyone who may find the ticket cost a barrier. This event is supported by the National lottery Community Fund and delivered by Earth Action North Devon.
This event is supported by the National Lottery Community Fund and in partnership with CAG Devon.
